According to legend, the bear eagle is the embodiment of the ancestral spirit of the Paiwan tribe and a symbol of warriors. Mu-fan and CHEN Wei, two young men who act in a more feminine way, feel left alone in their small tribe, while their families try to avoid confronting them for being “different.” They often stare at the sky, letting their doubts about their own existence drift into the clouds, where ancestral spirits are flying.
