In the 1990s, CHEN Wen-jie grew up an orphan boy in an opera troupe at the Sikunshen Longshan Temple in Anping, Tainan. He loved his hometown with its rich cultural landscape, historical monuments, ancient temples and streets, warm human kindness, and his beloved opera. With his passion, he uncovered the conspiracy behind his birth mother’s death, solved the mystery of his own birth, broke the shackles of revenge, took over his biological family’s deep sea fishing business, and fought hard against circumstances! In the end, he chose to let go of his grudges, reap the rewards of love and affection, and promote the declining art of opera internationally. His love for the land propelled Anping from a harbor town to a major leisure fishing town in Taiwan.
