Xiao-xiao is a girl with ADHD, bullied and isolated by her classmates at school. Even her own mother sees her as a troublemaker, and her father, who works abroad for an extended period, is like a familiar yet distant stranger. Only her school teacher, Paul, seems to understand and alleviate her emotions. One day, during a typhoon, Xiao-xiao witnesses a secret between her mother and Paul. Confused, she not only has to force herself to adapt to this complicated emotional relationship but also gradually discovers that both she and her mother have their own helplessness towards life.
