Jun, a naive thirteen-year-old boy from a village in southern Taiwan, shares a secret bond with his best friend, Jasper, who moved from Singapore with his parents after they began buying land for solar farms in the village. As disputes between locals and newcomers intensify, Jun tries to help Jasper fit in with the local boys. But when Jun’s grandfather, the village chief accused of corruption, fails to support Jasper’s parents, they retaliate by reporting him to the police, and the adult feud puts the boys’ fragile friendship to its hardest test.
