YAMEME MEETS NEW FRIENDS

Through the interactions between Yameme and second-generation new immigrants in the drama, we can help people better understand the culture of new immigrants.

During a school fair, Yameme and her friends damaged Miumiu’s stall while trying to compete with her, as Miumiu was selling Vietnamese spring rolls. Mayor Yama notices the divide between the townspeople and the new residents, prompting him to ask Yameme to visit the Southern Community, where Miumiu lives, and apologize to her. They seek out other children living in the same area – Gibo, Ike, and Jade – inviting them to attend the carnival in Dongyan Town. It marks the beginning of Yameme and her friends’ adventure in the Southern Community.
