In Bengbu, Anhui, fishermen along the Huai River are forced to leave their boats and become migrants in the urban world. They lose not only their homes, but also the skills that once sustained their lives, struggling between lawsuits and survival. Three years after going ashore, Wang Yueqin’s family faces business failure, the loss of loved ones, and the collapse of marriage. Like the tides of fate, she learns to face herself through loss, continuing to migrate inward toward the deeper waters of life.
