“Home From Above” is a nationwide educational project in Taiwan. Each year, the financial pressure weighs heavily on lead instructor Ms. Huang. For years, Guo Yan-ling has served as a camp counselor. This year, she returns to Penghu’s Shili Elementary School to guide students in documentary filmmaking—a journey that also stirs emotions about her estranged father. Chen Pin-chao, a recent graduate, chooses to stay and keep learning, hoping to carve a new path. This is a four-year journey of education, struggle, and transformation.
