In a mountain cave cradled by the Giant’s embrace, two souls, from opposite ends of the cave – an Indigenous boy chasing a white dog and a Taiwanese girl fleeing home from being sold by her father – serendipitously meet. There, they decide to temporarily exchange their lives, delving into the experience of each other’s worlds, not knowing they will not meet again for two decades.
Years later, she becomes a single mom and the owner of “The Sea Breeze Club” in his village, where Indigenous and Taiwanese people, old and new colonizers, along with ancestral spirits and gods, have migrated through time. On the village’s other side, machinery is set up to carve wells into the mountainside for cement mining activities. As the silent Giant crumbles from decades of mining scars, what choices will they face, and what destiny awaits this village?
